Create a Google Business account
Go to business.google.com. Sign in with your Gmail. Click "Add your business." Enter your exact business name (e.g. Jean Müller · Plumbing). It's free.
Fill in correct information
Full address with zip code. Phone number (ideally your pro WhatsApp). Realistic opening hours. Service area: add every municipality you work in.
Choose the right categories
The primary category is crucial. Examples: "Plumber", "Electrician", "Painting Company". Add 2-3 relevant sub-categories. Avoid overly generic ones like "Service Business".
Add 5+ professional photos
No photographer needed. Take with your phone: your van, a finished job, your team at work, tools, before/after. Listings with photos get 42% more inquiries.
Get your first reviews
After each successful job, text: "Hi [Name], thanks for your trust! A Google review would really help us: [link]". Aim for 10 reviews in the first 3 months.
Reply to every review
Positive: "Thanks Mr. Smith! Happy to help again." Negative: reply politely, offer a solution, never argue. Future clients read YOUR replies as much as the reviews.
